REHAU has been extruding uPVC window profile for more than 70 years, and its UK systems are built for the kind of housing stock we work on every day — Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Cheltenham, Cotswold stone cottages, 1960s and 70s semis, and new builds working to Part L.
Being a REHAU partner means we buy and fabricate from one profile family, so a casement in the front elevation, a vertical slider in a conservation bay and a flush-fit unit at the back all share the same seals, hardware and colour finishes. That matters more than most homeowners expect: mismatched profiles are the usual reason a whole-house replacement looks slightly wrong once it is in.

Our default specification for most homes. A 70mm multi-chamber system available chamfered, fully sculptured or as a fully reversible window, in a wide range of standard colours.

A slimmer triple-chamber 60mm system. Useful on refurbishment work where the existing reveal will not take a 70mm frame, and on smaller openings where sightlines matter.

Vertical sliding
Developed with conservation bodies as a sash replacement. Externally it keeps the traditional putty-line and a deep bottom rail, so it reads correctly on a period elevation.

Flush fit
A flush sash that sits level with the frame, closest to a timber casement in appearance. Our usual recommendation for barn conversions and unlisted period cottages.

Tilt & turn
Tilts inwards from the top for background ventilation, or opens fully inwards for cleaning and escape. The practical choice where there is no room to open a window outwards.

Multi-fold panes fold right back to open a rear elevation up to the garden — a common upgrade alongside a conservatory or extension, and an alternative to French or sliding patio doors.

U-values are whole-window figures achievable with the glazing specification stated and will vary with unit size, spacer and gas fill. Part L currently requires 1.6 W/m²K for replacement windows and 1.4 W/m²K in new build, with 1.8 W/m²K for doors — every system above can be specified to meet it. REHAU does not publish a U-value for Rio; we quote the tested figure for your chosen glazing at survey.
Doors are where a single profile family earns its keep. Because we fabricate the doors from the same REHAU range as the windows, the frame depth, the bead detail and the foil colour all match — you are not trying to pair a white door against off-white windows.

Two opening leaves with a slim central meeting point, usually with matched side lights. The most popular choice for a dining room or conservatory opening onto a patio.

A uPVC residential door in the REHAU range, or a composite slab hung in a matching frame where you want a heavier door with a timber-effect finish.

Wide openings
Folding panes that stack back against the reveal to open the whole aperture, rather than the half-opening you get from a sliding patio door.
Alternative to French or sliding patio doors
Restricted space
Tilts in for ventilation then slides on the same track. A good answer where a folding door has nowhere to stack and an outward-opening door would foul a path.
Inward tilt, in-line slide
The flush-fit range carries the finishes that suit Cotswold properties best — Chartwell Green and Clotted Cream on cottages, Anthracite Grey on contemporary rear elevations, Rosewood and Golden Oak where a timber look is wanted. Most are available as a full finish or with a white internal face.
Finish names as published by REHAU for the Rio range; availability varies by system and lead time. Screen colours are only ever approximate — we bring physical samples to survey so you can see them against your stonework or render.

The honest answer is that the profile is only part of it. REHAU’s published performance is strong — TOTAL70 reaches 0.8 W/m²K with triple-glazed argon units and carries a BFRC A+ rating — but a well-made window fitted badly will still fail. What a single-supplier range gives you is consistency across windows and doors, and a system we know inside out rather than one we fit occasionally.
Often yes. The Heritage vertical slider was developed in consultation with conservation bodies and keeps the external putty-line, deep bottom rail and sash horn detail that planners look for. Whether it is acceptable depends on your specific conservation area and whether the property is listed — listed buildings need consent, and we would always check with the local conservation officer before ordering. We are happy to make that call with you.
It depends on the system and the glazing. Heritage sliders achieve 1.4 W/m²K with a standard double-glazed unit, Tritec 1.5 W/m²K unreinforced, and TOTAL70 down to 0.8 W/m²K with triple glazing and argon fill. Building Regulations Part L currently asks for 1.6 W/m²K on replacement windows, so every option we quote clears it. Your quotation states the figure for your chosen specification.
TOTAL70, Heritage and Rio are PAS 24 security accredited, Tritec meets BS 7950, and the door systems meet PAS 23/24. On the Heritage slider an anti-jemmy security bar is fitted as standard. Hardware is fastened into steel reinforcement rather than into the profile alone.
Usually, if the existing windows are REHAU or a close profile match. Bring us a photograph and, if you have it, the original paperwork — we can normally identify the system from the bead and sash detail. Where an exact match is not possible we will say so rather than fit something that looks nearly right.
Fabrication is typically three to four weeks from order. Fitting is usually one to three days for a whole house depending on the number of openings, and we work one elevation at a time so the property is never left open. Multi-fold doors and structural openings take longer and we will set that out in the quotation.
Yes — conservatories, orangeries and extensions are the bulk of what we build, and the frames are specified from the same REHAU range so the whole structure matches. If you are replacing a conservatory roof at the same time, we can quote both together.
