Cheltenham’s housing stock is unusually varied for a town of its size, and it changes what works where. The Regency terraces and villas around Montpellier, Lansdown and Pittville come with strict conservation constraints and tall, slender window openings — flush casements and authentic sliding sash replacements are usually the only appropriate answer, and we handle the conservation-area conversations as part of the survey.
Move out to Hatherley, Up Hatherley, Benhall and Warden Hill and the picture changes completely. Post-war and 1960s–80s semis and detached houses with generous rear gardens, standard cavity construction and straightforward access — this is where most of our conservatory, orangery and rear extension work happens.
