Project · Replacement conservatory roof · Cheltenham
Roy and Ann’s conservatory was too hot in summer and too cold in winter. We replaced the roof with a tiled Ultraroof, built in two full-length glazed panels so daylight still reaches the adjoining lounge, and finished the inside with a vaulted ceiling and new spotlights. It is now a room they use all year round.

The old roof made the conservatory too hot in summer and too cold in winter, so it was only usable for part of the year.
A lightweight Ultraframe tiled roof fitted to the existing conservatory, engineered for the property’s wind and snow loading.
Two full-length glazed panels built into the roof, so natural light still floods straight into the adjoining lounge.
A vaulted plastered ceiling inside, finished with new spotlights for a room that feels like part of the house.

“5/5 Stars – Fantastic job on our new Ultraroof!
We recently had a new Ultraroof fitted by Michael and his team at Cotswold Conservatories Cheltenham and they were excellent from start to finish. The team was extremely professional, efficient, and a pleasure to have on-site.
The new roof has completely transformed the space. We can now use our conservatory all year round instead of it being too hot in summer or too cold in winter. The two full-length glazed panels ensure plenty of natural light still floods straight into the adjoining lounge, and the Ultraroof has created a beautiful vaulted ceiling finished off brilliantly with the new spotlights.
It looks amazing, and we are over the moon with the results. We would highly recommend Michael and the team to anyone looking to upgrade their conservatory.”

Thinking about the same change? Most replacement roofs fitted onto existing frames take two to five days on site, with no groundworks.
Ultraroof is a genuine lightweight tiled roof designed to be fitted onto existing conservatory frames. At 38 kg/m² it is the lightest tiled roof on the market, and it achieves a Building Regulations compliant U-value of 0.15 W/m²K as standard. Full-length glass panels can be built in wherever you want daylight — which is exactly what kept Roy and Ann’s lounge bright.
Every roof is engineered to your postcode for wind and snow loading, and we check the frames, base and guttering at survey before recommending it.
Usually, yes. Ultraroof is designed to be fitted onto existing frames, and it is the lightest tiled roof on the market at 38 kg/m². We confirm it at survey by checking the frames, the base and the existing guttering. If the frames will not take the load we will tell you before you commit to anything.
Not if the glazing is planned properly. On this project two full-length glazed panels were built into the Ultraroof so natural light still floods into the adjoining lounge. If you want more daylight, a hybrid Livinroof combines insulated solid panels with shaped glazing.
Two to five days on site for a typical replacement onto existing frames, with no groundworks. We will give you a programme with the quote.
